Furthermore, the only sail boats on Orchard Lake were owned by General Copeland and he sported two of them. They were sloops and were undoubtedly the first sail boats that set sail on Orchard or Cass Lakes. I have a photograph of the smallest one of them, drawn up on the beach after it was dismantled.
