Sponsor and Community Partner support allows us to expand our program offerings and make our museum a place for young and old to learn and explore. As a volunteer-run 501(c)(3)organization, we depend on your support!

All sponsorships include yearlong recognition in a listing in the Museum Welcome Center, GWBHS.org, the GWBHS annual report, and acknowledgment at Library presentations, some email blasts, and thanked in GWBHS newsletters.

Website Sponsorship – $100 Quarterly, $500 Annually
One sponsorship available. Payment is due by November 1 each year and benefits of this exclusive sponsorship include:

2026 Apple Island Tours
Will You Help Float the Boat? Donate to our 2026 Apple Island Tours Fundraiser!
Since 1982 we have partnered with West Bloomfield School District to provide affordable opportunities for the public to visit Orchard Lake’s Apple Island, our community’s incredible natural and historic resource. If you love the island as much as we do, please help us “Float the Boat.” Rising transportation costs are challenging our ability to continue offering public tours at family-friendly prices. This year’s tours are dead in the water unless we raise $5,000 by May 15.
If you love Apple Island, please give. If you have been meaning to visit Apple Island, please give. If you just love a good pontoon ride, please give. All hands on deck are needed to keep this exceptional program ship-shape.
All Float the Boat donors will be recognized in print. Donors of $150 and up will receive complimentary tickets to Apple Island Tours. Thank you for your support!

History Matters is our printed and PDF newsletter with issues in Winter, Spring, and Fall. Hard copies are mailed to GWBHS members and are also made available to the public at the library and other community buildings. We include two sponsors per issue. Sponsors receive 10 complimentary hard copies. Payment due November 1, March 1, August 1.
