Winford Hamlin’s map reveals the locations of cottages, fields, and other structures as they existed on Apple Island in the early twentieth century. Hamlin’s father served as the island’s caretaker from circa 1902 to 1904, and circa 1911 to 1914. The house in which Hamlin and his family resided is marked “caretaker.”
